Guest login for affiliates using OTP

Learn how to provide an option for guests/ affiliates to login to their dashboard using an One-time-passcode (OTP)

What is a Login to advocate / affiliate dashboard ?

Login to affiliate dashboard allows your affiliates/ guests to login to your shop/ dashboard via an Email OTP (One-time-passcode).

How to enable this login dashboard via ReferralGo app ?

Go to Shopify -> choose ReferralGo app -> Settings -> General settings

Scroll down to the setting "Allow Guest Login via an Email OTP" and choose the checkbox "OTP Login ?" and Save the settings.

Now, we have successfully enabled the OTP login dashboard for affiliates.

Note: If we haven't enabled this "Allow Guest Login via an Email OTP" setting then, for guest users Shopify will ask them to login by default. Hence, you can enable the above setting only if required.

Default affiliate login page will look like:

Let's see how to login using the "login to affiliate dashboard":

Here, affiliates can add their email ID and click on "Send verification code" option.

Then, affiliates will be taken to the verification dashboard.

Here we can add the verification one time code that has been sent to the email ID. Once verified, affiliates will be taken to his affiliate's dashboard.

Affiliate Dashboard will look like:

Let's see how to customise the OTP page/ login dashboard ?

From the setting "Allow Guest Login via an Email OTP" -> click on the button "Customize OTP page"

Then, you can find the below two sections:

Send OTP
Verify OTP

Send OTP:

From here you can customise the below three sections:

Title & Description -> change title and description of the OTP login page
Input fields -> change input fields like label, place holder, button text, button color and button background color and so on...
Redirect links -> change the redirect affiliate/ referral text, login page link text and enable/ disable the login option.

Verify OTP:

From here you can customise the below two sections:

Title & Description -> change title and description of the verify OTP login page
Input fields -> change input fields like label, button text, button color and button background color and so on...

Once the customisations are done, we can save those changes.

Let's see how to customise the OTP email?

From the setting "Allow Guest Login via an Email OTP" -> click on the button "Customize OTP Email"

Now, you will be taken to this page:
