Check your reward rules

Go to Referral → Program. The onboarding wizard already created your rewards under Reward Setup — typically one Referrer reward and one Friend reward. Click a rule to adjust the type (Percentage Discount, Fixed Discount, Free Shipping, Free Product) and value.
A proven starter combo: friend gets 10% off their first order, referrer gets a $10 coupon after the friend buys. Both sides win, and the friend condition “first order only” keeps it honest.

Publish the landing page

On the same Program tab, under Branding & Popups, make sure Referral Landing Page is enabled — its Page URL appears on the card. Click Customize to match your brand.

Turn on the Safe Referral Reward Popup

Also under Branding & Popups. When someone clicks a referral link, the popup captures and verifies their email, then unlocks the reward only for first-time purchasers.

Test the full loop

  1. Open your storefront and join the program (via the landing page or floating button).
  2. Copy your referral link, open it in a private window, and claim the friend reward with a different email.
  3. Place a test order with the friend coupon.
The sale appears under Referral → Sales & Analytics, and the referrer’s reward is issued (automatically, or pending approval if you chose manual approval).

Spread the word

Share the landing page link everywhere your customers are — order confirmation emails, SMS, social bios. The thank-you page widget also invites every fresh buyer automatically.
