How to manage priority
Let's learn how to manage the priority of the Friend and the Advocate Reward created.
Let us see how to set priority for the created friend and the advocate reward using Referral App.
Navigate to Shopify -> ReferralGo -> Programs -> Referral -> Manage Priority
Here we have created Referral Rewards for both Friends and Advocate
- 50% discount with 1st order condition.
- $10 fixed reward.
- 20% reward
- 20% reward with buy product condition for friend.
- $100 fixed reward.
To prioritize the referral rewards created you have to drag and drop the rewards accordingly in the order of priority.
Example 1 :
Manage priority of the referral rewards created for Friends.
Here are the rewards created for friends arranged in the order of priority.
- 50% reward with 1st order condition - 1st priority
- $10 fixed reward - 2nd priority
- 20% reward - 3rd priority
Step 1 : Now the friend can use the referral link and have to Enter the Email Id to get the reward coupon.
Step 2 : Friend would get the coupon code and try using the coupon code in the payment page so that 1st priority reward (50% reward) would be applied.
Example 2 :
In this example we have created two different rewards for the Advocate.
Reward 1 : 20% reward with referral orders product condition (i.e Friend with the referral link should buy any of the selected product in the condition and so the 20% reward would be given to the advocate)
Reward 2 : $100 fixed reward without any other conditions
Manage priority of the referral rewards created for Advocate.
Here are the two rewards created for advocates arranged in the order of priority.
- 20% reward with referral order product condition - 1st priority
- $100 fixed reward - 2nd priority
Step 1 : Go to the Referral page, enter Name and the Email-id of the Advocate.
Step 2 : By submitting, you would get the referral link to be shared with friends.
Step 3 : Now using the referral link your friend could get the coupon code and reward would be applied on the checkout page and place the order by completing the payment.
Note : The Buy product of the friend shouldn’t be in the given condition (20% reward with referral order product condition)
Step 4 : After completing the payment the advocate would get a mail indicating that you have received a reward with a coupon code to be used in the next purchase.
Now, advocates can use the given coupon to claim the reward in their next purchase.
Step 5 : Advocate used the gained coupon to claim the reward.
Here, as per the priority 20% reward has to be applied for the advocate; the condition (20% reward with referral order product condition) to buy products of the friend haven’t met and so a $100 fixed reward has been applied for the advocate which is in the second priority.
